A Sheffield Artcrafts Guild Sidney Wilkinson silver bowl

For sale is this rare piece by Sheffield arts and crafts silversmith Sidney Wilkinson (1871-1946). Wilkinson was an art master at Sheffield Art School placing him at the heart of Sheffield’s thriving arts and crafts movement led by Joseph Beeston Himsworth and his daughter Joyce. Wilkinson was a member of Sheffield Artcrafts Guild.
The bowl is assayed for Sheffield 1937 and is also marked “HAND MADE” to the base. Aesthetically it is a mix of deco and arts and crafts.
