A boxed set of six Cymric silver and enamel teaspoons for Liberty
A boxed set of six Cymric spoons for Liberty. These are model number 345 in the Liberty Silver Sketch Book. Each is fully assayed for Birmingham 1905.
These spoons are also illustrated on pages 95/6 of Simon Moore’s book “Artists Table Cutlery and Related Items”. He believes the design of these spoons is by Archibald Knox or Oliver Baker. The spoon does appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox” page 213.
This set is in remarkable, excellent original condition, and the spoons have especially good blue green enamel finials. The box itself and silk are also in excellent condition, with just one small area of old sticky tape residue to the silk interior on the lid.
