This silver dish represents a rare post war piece of silver by Bernard Cuzner, carrying his own B C mark.  This piece is marked for 1950 when Cuzner was 73 . The pattern on the dish retains classic Cuzner design, but clearly with the influence of post war modernism. Like most of Cuzner’s own hand made work it is beautifully made and a really good gauge of silver.

Cuzner (1877-1956) was head of metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art from 1910 to 1942. His work can be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum silver room 67, case 7.
