A set of six “Belisha Beacon” tea spoons

Price: Sold

An unusual and fun set  set of six deco cocktail or tea spoons. Probably retailed by Asprey, see item A290. The spoons are fully assayed for 1934, the year the first Belisha Beacons were introduced into the UK.  The hallmarks are marked for Birmingham with makers mark for Barker Brothers Silver Ltd.  The spoons are made of sterling silver and what I believe is an early plastic such as Bakelite.  Condition is excellent with minor discolouration to some of the organge “beacons”.
