An amethyst pendant by Arthur and Georgie Gaskin

For sale is this lovely amethyst and mother of pearl pendant set in silver by Arthur and Georgie Gaskin. The pendant was exhibited at the Court Barn Museum exhibition on the Gaskins, exhibit J7, and this catalogue entry giving full provenance can be found at this link. The pendant is in excellent original condition. It is marked with the Gaskin’s G mark. The original design drawing for this pendant is held in the Gaskins’ drawing book at the V&A (ref E692/3 – 1965) and shows this to be an early 1902 design, though this piece is thought to be made around c 1909 with a clasp in keeping with that later date.
