An Artificers Guild silver moonstone bracelet

Price range: Sold

For sale is this silver and moonstone bracelet.  Beautifully made and in excellent original condition it is formed of five good coloured moonstones set in silver surround of delicate leaves.   It is very much in the style of the Artificers Guild to whom I attribute its design and manufacture. Most likely designed by Edward Spencer. Arts and crafts period bracelets of this quality are rarely seen.

The Artificers Guild was originally established by Nelson Dawson along similar lines to Charles Ashbee’s Guild of Handicrafts but quickly changed ownership and from 1902 it’s chief designer became Edward Spencer who took over the firm as a limited company in 1909.
