An outstanding Archibald Knox gold and enamel necklace

Price range: >£10,000+

Lightning has struck twice and I am delighted to offer for sale this really stunning, rare, Archibald Knox necklace in its original box.  I had an almost identical necklace six months ago.  The design is a classic complex Knox design augmented with beautiful enamels. The enamels have a lovely play of red, green and blue.   Condition of both necklace and box is excellent.   See “Archibald Knox”, 2nd Edition, page 252, by Stephen Martin for the same necklace set with mother of pearl. An identical necklace set with turquoise can be found in at the Delaware Art Museum.

This piece was exhibited 12th October to 13th January at the Manx Museum Douglas, Isle of Man, exhibition, “Archibald Knox – Artist, Designer and Teacher”.
