Two sets of fully assayed Theodor Fahrner jugendstil buttons

Price range: Sold

Two rare sets of Theodor Fahrner buttons:

A boxed  set of six in excellent condition, each button set with a turquoise stone.  Fully marked for 950 silver standard, Fahrner and Murrle Bennett.  With English import marks dating to 1902.  1.5cm diameter.  The design attributed to Ludwig Knupfer

A boxed set of four. In a wonderful original Connells of Cheapside English box.  Severely damaged enamels.  Fully assayed for London 1903 and marked for Theodor Fahrner 950 silver standard.  A strong design possibly by Knupfer also.  Interestingly, whilst the silver buttons must have been made in Germany, the English assay marks are beneath the enamel so the enamelling must have taken place in Britain. 2.3cm diameter.
