A William Hutton arts and crafts modernist silver bowl

For sale is this very unusual bowl by William Hutton & Sons. The designer is unknown but it is from the same Hutton’s London studio as Kate Harris. The design seems to take inspiration from the work of Charles Ashbee’s Guild of Handicraft. It also has some similarities to the Glastonbury bowl which inspired other silversmiths to do direct copies.  In excellent condition and a decent gauge of silver with slightly wear to the marks. Altogether a very modern piece for its date.
