Rare Morecambe School copper caddy spoon

Price range: Sold

For sale is this rare Morecambe HEC (Higher Education College) copper caddy spoon.  Morecambe HEC was where Thomas Sparks, one of the Keswick School of Industrial Arts most celebrated metalworkers, taught from c 1908.  He established a small “School or Guild” at the College producing a very small range of output.

This copper caddy spoon probably dates to c 1910 and the influence  of the Keswick School of Industrial Art is clear.
