A Barnet Henry Joseph gold art nouveau pendant

This is another particularly nice gold pendant by the well regarded arts and crafts jewellers Barnet Henry Joseph – see archive for further examples. It is clearly influenced by the Liberty jewellery of Archibald Knox and others. The central stone is mother of pearl. The pendant is marked for BHJ and 9 carat rose gold. In excellent condition, the chain is modern, also 9 carat rose gold.
Barnet Henry Joseph was a longstanding jewellery company from the Victorian period that started making a range of affordable gold art nouveau style jewellery from c 1900-1920.
