A boxed set of Keswick School silver and enamel buttons

Price range: Sold

For sale is this rare set of six Keswick School of Industrial Art large silver buttons.  The overall design of the buttons is of stylised flowers, each with a repousse petal design to the silver with subtle green enamel centres.  The enamel has been applied directly and thinly  to the silver (frequently you see enamel on copper) giving it a charming translucent, almost cat’s eye, effect.

The buttons are not hallmarked but come in an original Keswick School of Industrial Art box.

The buttons and box are in excellent antique condition.  There is slight wear (not loss) to the edges of the enamel roundels on a few of the buttons.
