A very stylish dish made by Bruckmann and Sohne, the design attributed to Carl Zeller. It demonstrates the very best of jugendstil design. Bruckmann & Sohne were a major German silver manufacturer who, in around 1900, analogous to William Hutton in the UK, decided to employ artistic designers and architects to augment their range with modern art nouveau or jugendstil silver. Carl Zeller, who is attributed with designing this dish, was one of their leading designers at the time.
