A Charles Ashbee for the Guild of Handicraft silver pepper

For sale is this iconic dainty pepper designed by Charles Ashbee for the Guild of Handicraft.  The pepper is set with five turquoise stones.  It is an early example dating to 1900 and carries the rarer CRA mark to both body and lid.

Condition overall is excellent.  The five turquoise stones are now of varying colour, with some turning slightly green with age and handling.  They are all original.  The lid to the pepper fits tightly but is missing a small silver interior peg to the body that would have held it securely.
