A delightful, small, arts and crafts sugar bowl
For sale is this very stylish small silver sugar marked for Mappin and Webb. I would love to identify its designer but cannot – it’s simply a delightful object. A good gauge with appealing rivet design and in excellent original condition.
The design probably inspired by an old medieval copper jug. Similar designs were made in pottery by Doulton Lambeth in “Silicon ware” c 1900.
