A gild copper charger attributed to the Guild of Handicraft
Price range: Sold
A very good gilded copper charger. Whilst unsigned I am confident in attributing this to John Williams at the Guild of Handicraft c 1890. Asides the design, which is very like John Williams work, the unusual gilding is only familiar to me as the work of the Guild of Handicraft c 1888-1898.
The charger is a good size with 52 cm diameter. The condition is excellent, with crisp repousse and a good colour.
