A John Pearson copper charger

Price range: Sold

A very good John  Pearson copper charger, signed to the back and dated 1889, when Pearson was working with the Newlyn School having left The Guild of Handicraft. The quality of the workmanship demonstrates Pearson at his very best.

The design depicts a classic Pearson circle of  exotic birs with central organic design. The design is picked out in the copper beautifully with Pearson’s trademark high quality repousse and chasing.

The charger is a good size with 52 cm diameter.  The condition is excellent, with crisp repousse and a good colour.
