A Kate Harris silver art nouveau flower box

A Kate Harris silver box, made by William Hutton & Sons and fully assayed, London 1900. The design is classic Harris with flower motif to the lid, architectural design, and complex front clasp, with copper rivet highlights to the lid. The box is in excellent original condition and a good gauge. An identical box to this recently sold at Lyon and Turnbull. See this link.
Kate Harris was employed by the London studio of William Hutton & Sons to produce artistic silver from 1899 to c 1905. Harris was one of the very few women, or British exhibitors, to win recognition at the 1900 Paris International Exhibition.
