A rare Archibald Knox Cymric silver and enamelled vase

For sale is this extraordinary silver vase by Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co’s Cymric range. The vase is set with a pink purple enamel base, the body with cut out hearts highlighting the enamel beneath. The feet are connected with silver wire work that is highly distinctive and radical for the period. A variant of this model appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox”, second edition, page 185 model 25/73. In very good original condition.
This piece was exhibited 12th October to 13th January at the Manx Museum Douglas, Isle of Man, exhibition, “Archibald Knox – Artist, Designer and Teacher”.
Condition is very good with two tiny areas of enamel loss, including to the tip The silver body is in excellent condition with clear marks. The wire work around the feet has some minor distortion.
