A Liberty gold and blister pearl necklace by Archibald Knox
Price range: Sold
A stunning gold Cymric arts and crafts necklace set with blister pearls. The necklace appears as model 8337 in the Liberty jewellery sketch book in the Westminster Archives, page 199 and this necklace carries the same scratched number to the reverse. The necklace is not assayed as is typical of Liberty’s jewellery.
The design of this necklace is attributed to Archibald Knox and it appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book Archibald Knox page 248.
The condition is excellent and original. I have not tested the gold, but typically Liberty made these better necklaces in 15 or 18 carat gold.
