A Liberty gold and enamel Cymric brooch

A lovely example of a Liberty Cymric gold and enamel brooch attributed to Archibald Knox. This design appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book ”Archibald Knox”, page 260. The brooch is model 1086 in the Liberty Jewellery Sketch book held at the Westminster Archive.  It is rare to find this design in gold and with a beautiful subtle play of enamel colours.

The brooch is in excellent antique original condition save for some old lead solder around the orginal clasp on the back of the brooch. It is marked 15 carat, “Cymric”.  It is in its original Liberty box.
