A Liberty silver and gold moonstone brooch by Archibald Knox

A lovely example of a small Liberty silver and gold moonstone brooch by Archibald Knox. This brooch (with amethyst) appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book, “Archibald Knox”,  page 266. It is model 1290 in the Liberty Jewellery sketch book.

The brooch is in excellent original.  The pin and moonstone surround are gold (likely 9 carat), the main wirework brooch is silver.  The moonstone is a really wonderful good blue colour, the photograph (due to the use of flash) does not do it justice.

It is unmarked as is often the case with Liberty jewellery.
