A modern silver and enamel box

Price range:  £1,450

This is an especially nice box with champleve enamel lid, depicting what I believe is a forest. The box is fully hallmarked for London 2000 and is a very good gauge and in excellent condition.

The box is marked for JASSO, the Jewellery and Silver Society of Oxford.  The Society was founded in 1973 and remains active to this day.   It is a forum, with a dedicated workshop, to teach jewellers and silversmiths. More details can be found at this link. Research is ongoing to identiify the specfic maker of this piece, which was almost certainly exhibited at JASSO’s exhibition of that year.
