A pair of Archibald Knox Cymric silver and turquoise vases 2126
Price range: £7,450
A pair of Liberty & Co Cymric silver and turquoise vases. Hallmarked Birmingham 1902, the design by Archibald Knox. This design represents a good example of Knox’s modernist style. This model 2126 comes in several sizes. This is the medium size at 14.5 cm in height and well proportioned. Personally, I think it is one of Knox’s greatest designs.
Condition of the silver is very good. All three turquoise stones are original and in excellent condition.
See “Archibald Knox” edited by Dr Stephen Martin, page 185 for a similar though taller example
