A set of six James Fenton silver and enamel spoons
Price range: £650
For sale is this vibrant set of spoons by the Birmingham maker James Fenton. The spoons exhibits Fenton’s classic enamels and arts and crafts style. A really stunning set in excellent original condition.
Whilst Fenton was a large commercial enterprise, between c 1905 and 1915 they produced a range of jewellery and silver with enamels, in the arts and crafts or art nouveau style. I have never seen this design of spoons by them which are particularly good examples. For more information on James Fenton’s spoons see Simon Moore’s book “Artists spoons and related table cutlery”, pages 280-1.
