A set of six modernist Edwardian Asprey silver card holders
Price: Sold
An unusual set set of six menu or card holders fully hallmarked for Asprey and in original Asprey box. There are two remarkable aspects to this set. Firstly they are fully hallmarked (and with registration mark) for the Edwardian period, London 1906 – and yet they appear to be perfect examples of the deco period. Secondly their condition, and the condition of the box, is almost “as new”. There is no damage to the box, or staining to the interior silk. The silver card holders themselves are crisp and a good gauge of silver. They each sit perfectly in individual pentagonal depressions in the box.
