A small Liberty gold and amethyst Cymric brooch by Archibald Knox

A lovely example of a small Liberty Cymric gold and amethyst brooch by Archibald Knox. This brooch will appear in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming revised book  on ”Archibald Knox”.  The brooch is model 1287. page 3, in the Liberty silver sketch book..

The brooch presents in excellent antique condition.  To the reverse it has an old but nor original silver clasp and pin. It is unmarked as is often the case with Liberty gold jewellery.  It is untested but I am confident it is 15 carat gold or better.
