A William Hutton silver dragon buckle
For sale is this beautifully cast, heavy, silver buckle by William Hutton & Sons. In excellent crisp condition. It is an early example of art nouveau work from their London studio and assayed for 1896. Based on other artistic work by Kate Harris, it may represent one of her earliest silver designs.

Kate Harris was employed the London studio of William Hutton & Sons to produce artistic silver from 1899 to c 1905. Her work is often hallmarked for Goldsmiths and Silversmiths who were retailers as well as manufacturers.
