An Alwyn Carr stone set silver spoon

Price range: £875

A really great silver spoon by Alwyn Carr,  Carr was one half of the Ramsden & Carr partnership that split after the first world war.  Omar Ramsden went onto to great commercial success, whilst Alwyn Carr remained a studio silversmith whose work is far rarer.    This spoon is a rare example of his work.  Large (table spoon size) and heavy, the terminal holds a green stone, most likely a chrysoprase. Clearly hallmarked for London 1923.  Excellent condition with crisp design and hallmarks.
