An Archibald Knox Cymric silver and enamel tea caddy for Liberty & Co

A Liberty & Co silver and enamel tea caddy designed by Archibald Knox.    The caddy appears in the Liberty silver sketch book at Westminster Archive number 5066. This is a striking, large, modernist piece, and it is hard to believe it was designed in 1901, possibly even in the Victorian era.  This piece is from a European private collection and was last seen at Christies, lot 22, 2nd June 2009.
