An Archibald Knox for Liberty & Co, Cymric silver and enamel caddy spoon
A large Liberty & Co silver and enamel caddy spoon. This rare design carries the typical Celtic pattern of Archibald Knox to the handle. This is one of the earliest designed caddy spoons by Knox, being hallmarked for Birmingham 1900. It appears in the Liberty sketch book number 500/85. It is of a good gauge of silver. This spoon will be published in Dr Stephen Martin’s forthcoming revised third edition of “Archibald Knox”.
