An Archibald Knox for Liberty silver on gold emerald diamond pendant
Price range: Sold
For sale is this very wearable and really great example of Knox’s jewellery for Liberty.
The pendant is formed of classic Knox wire work loops set with diamonds. The centre holds a large natural emerald with a further three diamonds. The visible metalwork of the pendant is silver set onto gold. A typical use of gold in the period. There is a pearl drop.
This design is in the Liberty jewellery sketch book model 8932 page 302. The pendant is illustrated in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox” (with fire opal) on page 257.
Condition is excellent and original. The emerald is a good size (at least 4 carats I would say) and colour, though with visible inclusions. The silver chain is modern.
