An Archibald Knox gold, turquoise and river pearl necklace
Price range: £3,250
A lovely Archibald Knox gold necklace, this version set with turquoise and river pearls.
This is one of my favourite Knox designs. It is incredibly modern and wearable. I believe its inspiration is early Celtic symbolism. See “Archibald Knox”, 2nd Edition, page 251, by Stephen Martin for a near identical example of this necklace. This is model 8111 in the Liberty jewellery sketch book in the Westminster Archives.
The necklace has a classic Liberty barrel clasp, that I would say is original.
