An early Knox Liberty & Co Cymric “Satis” silver spoon

Price range: £695

An early Liberty Cymric spoon by Archibald Knox. The “Satis” is a very early Archibald Knox design dated London 1899, the original drawing is held at the Silver Studio Archive, MODA.  Satis is an Egyptian god and whilst the name has no links to the Isle of Man I am confident this is a Knox design.

To see an identical Satis spoon and its  original design drawing see Simon Moore’s book on arts and crafts silver spoons “Artists’ spoons and related table cutlery”, pages 66-67.
