An early pair of A E Jones silver salts with spoons

A pair of AE Jones silver salts from his first year of production, marked for Birmingham 1902. The salts designed with delicate silver strapwork also seen on the highly regarded early candlesticks by Jones. AE Jones became a major commercial manufacturer producing silver in Birmingham up until the 1980’s. Originally however Albert Edward Jones was a silversmith for the Birmingham Guild of Handicraft who set up his own authentic arts and crafts workshop in 1902. Sold with matching spoons by AE Jones for 1905.
