Archibald Knox Cymric silver and turquoise vase 2126
Price range: Sold
A Liberty & Co Cymric silver and turquoise vase. Hallmarked Birmingham 1902, the design by Archibald Knox. This design represents an early example of Knox’s modernist style. This model 2126 comes in several sizes. This is the medium size at 14,5 cm in height and well proportioned. Personally, I think it is one of Knox’s greatest designs.
Condition of the silver is very good. Original silver solder is visible where the wirework legs join the body. All three turquoise stones are original and in excellent condition with two showing a slight green discolouration that can occur with age in turquoise stones.
